Heartbreaking Song About a Dying Mother | Move On – Elizabeth Shepherd

It started out as a question from a mother to a young child, knowing that her time was coming, that she was about to move on. Questions like "will you remember me", or "where do we go when we die" or "will I live in" speak to the deep mystery that we hold in the balance, for our entire lives. After teaming up with Olivier Masson who made this beautiful short film (because it's more that, and less a video), in seeing what he brought to it, it dawned on me that this is not just the question of a dying mother to her child, but a dying planet to her people; will I live on? Will you remember me? THREE THINGS is my 7th studio album; it's an adventurous mashup of jazz, soul, found sound, electronica and gospel. Written during the pandemic, at a time when Quebec was under lockdown (with a curfew) and musicians couldn't leave their homes, let alone get together to create, I did what I know: I improvised, turning instead to the world around her for inspiration - bird songs, typewriter sounds, garbage cans, laughter - you name it. While "Move On" is maybe the most reflective song of the album, it still finds its home in an opus that is ultimately a joyful, unique celebration of life, the power of creativity and the music that lies hidden in everything around us, if you only open your ears. Ever wondered what happened to your favourite TV Talent show acts after they left the show well look no further as you will be seeing acts from XFactor and beyond right here ? Do you want more than that ? Ofcourse you do . Do you love seeing new talent first ? Do you love telling your friends about what you have found and seen? Then Global Talent World is your home .
