The deer enclosure is situated in the forest near the Khanty village of Russkinskaya, in the Surgut region of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug. In the morning, the reindeer are released to graze freely in the forest and swamps, where they dig for moss under the snow. As evening approaches, the herd returns to the enclosure, where the reindeer are provided with compound feed, along with treats such as bread and frozen fish.
