BEYOND PARADISE RETURNS FOR SERIES 4 WITH GUEST STARS AND MORE SEASIDE MYSTERIES

Fans of Death in Paradise may be feeling a little sad as the fifteenth series draws to a close, but the beloved spin-off, Beyond Paradise, is here to fill the gap.

The new series arrives later this month on BBC iPlayer and BBC One, promising another helping of puzzling cases set in the picturesque coastal town of Shipton Abbott.

This time around, the detectives must untangle a series of curious and often baffling crimes, from the mysterious death of a novelist who seemed to predict their own demise, to a magical night of Dark Morris dancing that turns sour. There’s also a long-lost treasure map that suddenly reappears and even reports of a vengeful mermaid lurking in the waters off the coast.

Away from the crime scene, Humphrey and Martha are facing big changes of their own. Newly married, DI Humphrey Goodman (Kris Marshall) and Martha (Sally Bretton) are on the hunt for a new home, while Humphrey wrestles with a life-changing decision that could affect everyone at the station.

Returning favourites include Zahra Ahmadi (Betrayal) as DS Esther Williams, Dylan Llewellyn (Derry Girls) as PC Kelby Hartford, Barbara Flynn (Kate & Koji) as Anne Lloyd and Felicity Montagu (Nighty Night, ) as the formidable Margo Martins. Jamie Bamber (Law & Order: UK), Melina Sinadinou (The Terminal List: Dark Wolf), Eva Feiler (We Were the Lucky Ones) and Phil Daniels (Waiting for the Out) also reprise their roles.

There’s no shortage of familiar faces among the guest cast, either. This series welcomes Susan George, Colin McFarlane (The Dark Knight), Michael Cochrane (The Archers), Melanie Walters (Gavin & Stacey) and Vincent Franklin (Happy Valley), alongside appearances from Alex Macqueen (The Feud), Tristan Sturrock (Poldark), Andrea Lowe (DCI Banks), Raquel Cassidy (Downton Abbey), Emily Stott (Riot Women), Rina Mahoney (The Bay) and Susan Penhaligon (Bouquet of Barbed Wire), among many others.

The show remains part of the hugely popular Paradise franchise, which continues to delight viewers worldwide. The fifteenth series of Death in Paradise is currently airing, while the Australian spin-off Return to Paradise recently wrapped up its second successful run.
