The Script’s Danny O’Donoghue says he went “off the rails” after the death of his bandmate Mark Sheenan.
The guitarist died following a short illness back in April 2023 at the age of just 46.
Appearing on ITV’s Lorraine on Thursday (23 May) to promote a new tour, O’Donoghue opened up about the devastating impact Sheenan’s death had on him.
The lead singer said: “I went off the rails after Mark passed away. I was drinking and smoking and went on a mental block. I had writer’s block for a long time.”
