EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO HOST A CRAFT NIGHT IN FOR FRIENDS

If you'd take a glass of wine in the garden or on the sofa over a bustling bar any day (us too!) then listen up, because 'paint and sip' nights in are having a real moment right now.

Social media has been awash with pretty tablescapes and wholesome painting activities for friends to enjoy, and at Prima we can't deny that we love the idea of a crafty night in.

What is paint and sip?

Paint and sip refers to a painting activity usually undertaken whilst catching up with friends and sipping on a tipple of your choice (alcoholic or otherwise).

There are plenty of paint and sip classes online should you wish to join an organised group to make new friends, but they're equally great for catching up with friends you already know. You can host one at home to keep costs down too.

How to host a paint and sip

Hosting a paint and sip evening can be a cost-effective way of catching up. How much you spend is completely down to you. If it's a birthday or special occasion, you might consider creating a tablescape with pretty decor pieces and making cocktails or mocktails for guests to sip.

If you'd prefer to do it on a budget, all you really need is your normal tipple of choice, some art supplies (paintbrushes, paints, and mini canvases) and perhaps some snacks. Everyone brings a bottle and hey presto, you've got yourselves a cheap yet fun night in.

What you paint is totally up to you and your guests, but it's often fun if you have a larger group to paint each other and swap your masterpieces at the end of the night so everyone has a fun memento to take home.
